About RPCI

Bern Palliative Care Inc. is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  Since 1983, their shared passion has been to develop, promote and support palliative care programs for patients and their families in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.

Bringing Comfort

Palliative Care offers a quality of life, comfort and care for individuals and their families facing a non-curable illness, death and bereavement.  Palliative care helps to address their needs, hopes, fear and expectation, and ease emotional burdens.

The palliative care program delivered in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region is a healthcare model that is the envy of health regions across the country.  This is achieved because of the positive and collaborative relationship between BPCI and the Health Region in meeting the palliative care and bereavement needs in the community.

Our Role

The mission of BPCI is to improve the quality of life for palliative care clients and to support their families.  The Board of Directors are focused towards increasing awareness of palliative care and bereavement needs in the community; advocates for supporting services for the palliative population; and to develop and participate in bereavement support programs.

BPCI raises funds to support and enhance core palliative care services and programs at home, in hospice and hospital as well as supporting bereavement programs for children, teens and adults.  Funding is also designated for the purchase of specialized equipment to assist individuals and their families to changing life situations and to help them live as fully and comfortably as possible.
